Harold Goodermote demonstrates prize examples from his extensive collection of antique gramophones. Let us know your favorite songs from the 1940’s and 50’s ahead of time, and Harold will bring an original recording to play for you.

Thursday, June 8th, 7:00 pm
Kick off Balloon Festival weekend with Chris Heidorf’s talk about the pioneering use of balloons for aerial reconnaissance in military operations, and the role played in the unit by Charles J. Eaton, a Cambridge resident.
Saturday, July 8th, 11:00 am
Sally Brillon, who gives open-hearth cooking classes at her 18th century home in Hebron, will present a slide show on this lost art. She will also talk about antique kitchen items in the museum collection, and do her best to help you to identify any mystery kitchen gadgets you bring with you.
Wednesday, August 9th, 7:00 pm
Ken Gottry shares the results of his research on the Northern Turnpike, and how it transformed Cambridge in the early 19th century.
Saturday, Sep 23rd
11:00 am - Impact of the Railroad
Jim Shaughnessy, the respected historian of the D&H Railroad, discusses the impact of the railroad on local business, agriculture and everday life.
12:00 pm - Slide Show
Pat Nestle presents a slide show on local railroading from the mid-1800’s to the present.
Each month from May through September we host a special program at the museum.
Programs are free and open to the public. Light refreshments are served. The museum is open for tours one hour prior to the program.
